Melissa and her two friends Cillian and Ashley were studying Ancient Egypt. Ashley thought it was really boring. Cillian didn't really care and Melissa was just looking at the outfits. The last chapter was about Cleopatra . She was the queen of Egypt and she liked to wear lovely silky gowns and headresses. When the teacher let them see a picture of Cleopatra,Melissa,Cillian and Ashley all stared into her eyes. Suddenly they felt a poke on their backs and before they knew it they were in Ancient Egypt. They wandered about like lost dogs. Melissa spotted a very weird shaped tower in the distance. She ran towards it and the others followed. When they reached it there was a long staircase in front of them . They slowly approached the doors after climbing up the stairs.
They entered the big ancient tower. Before their eyes they saw Cleopatra. She was crying because Anthony had left her. Cillian walked over to her bravely. "What is wrong with you? " asked Cillian pretending he didn't know. " We are from the future," added Melissa." Anthony will be back in 3 years," continued Ashley. "But my children are 4 years old and they are wondering who their father is," Cleopatra cried . "I brought you here so you could get him back for me,"she cried again. "So how do we get back?" added Ashley. "You can't get back yet,"replied Cleopatra. "Before you can get back you have to find Anthony," she continued. "So they all set off to find Anthony.
They only had a bottle of water each to last them until they located Anthony. Melissa noticed a head popping out of the ground. Someone was in quicksand. They sprinted over not knowing what to do. It was Anthony. He had gotten stuck in quicksand. They all grabbed him and pulled at him but it was no use. Melissa told him to kick his legs. Hopefully he understood.Thankfully he did. He wriggled his way out while they were pulling him. When he got out he was very badly injured so they brought him to a medicine man. He healed his injuries and they were off. Ashley saw some brown worn out paper. She picked it up. It was a map and there was Cleopatra's tower on it.
They raced down to the castle but the guards wouldn't let them in but then they noticed Anthony and they got in. Before they got in Cillian picked up some sand and put it into a bag which he had in his pocket. When they went in Anthony was reunited with his family. Cleopatra thanked them and gave them her most valuable thing, a golden necklace with a pyramid on it. Then they felt a poke in the back and they were no longer in Egypt. They were back at school but they knew it wasn't a dream because they had the necklace and Cillian had the sand. They never forgot a thing about their adventure.
